About Us

Darlene McGill became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in 1993 after moving from upstate New York. San Antonio’s medical community provided many different areas of patient care for her to work in. Working in the hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies and out-patient facilities provided a wide range of treatment experience and familiarity in many different areas of treatment. Darlene’s favorite area of therapy is manual therapies such as myofascial release and other soft tissue techniques along with patient education.

Prior to graduating in 1999 from St. Philips PTA program, Ed McGill worked for many years in the physical therapy field as a technician. Some of his strengths are dynamic exercise, manual techniques and he is trained in fitting for orthotics and also identifying and correcting orthotic related conditions that contribute to an array of other preexisting conditions. His work experience has enabled him to be proficient in proper body mechanics, lifting techniques and core stability training which are essential for full recovery from low back or spinal injuries.

Ed and Darlene have been married for 10 years and have two children. They live in the area and really enjoy living in the hill country area. They are committed to providing personal, quality physical therapy so that people may enjoy a basic health and quality living.

Our Facility

Bulverde Physical Therapy & Wellness Center first opened in January 2000 and immediately expanded in 2001 where they quickly established themselves as an enjoyable and reliable physical therapy office. Bulverde Physical Therapy & Wellness Center just opened their brand new 6,000 square-foot facility where they can offer the community services for both physical therapy as well as general health and fitness needs. The facility is open evenings and Saturdays to best accommodate people who work in surrounding areas or the city of San Antonio so that they have the opportunity to receive services closer to home.

Our Philosophy

Bulverde Physical Therapy & Wellness Center provides effective and practical means of improving mobility and/or decreasing pain caused by musculoskeletal problems. It is most important to our facility that the patient leaves feeling better and with an education to allow continued success after treatment. If a patient is educated in a practical sense as to the nature, and management of the health of their body, they will be much more successful at continuing to progress to overall physical well being.
